Whoa, this weeks been crazy.
I got the job at Nordstrom in the makeup department. I am now waiting on a call (sometime this week) with what makeup line I will have, then I have to study them, then interview with that line-meaning I will probably have someone in front of me, and I will have to do their makeup and pretty much be judged on my customer service and makeup skills.
I am so freaking excited it's rediculous.
I also got invited to a huge Fashion Show they are holding their with all the new makeup in the lines on the 27th.
The Nordstrom downtown is the home offices, so big stuff happens all the time.
So, I will be going there and meeting all sorts of people I hope and learning new things and becoming more involved with the company and products.
I was trying to get in with the MAC counter, but it's super tough and the interview process is rediculous.
So, I don't know if I will get put there.
I will be working at Nordstroms and at Starbucks until I can get my wisdom teeth out and until I get to be full time at Nordstrom, depending on how I like it and how well I do commission wise.
My friend Kyle is a student in the Production program at AI, and is doing a shoot in two weeks and asked me to do makeup for it, so I am.
Then I may be doing makeup for an indie film, and now Jen, Colin, Whitney, and I are doing a fashion show, and they want me to do makeup. The lady that's putting it on wants the four of us to come up with an outfit. I think I am going to do accessories and whatnot.
Anyway, this week has been full of changes.
Changes in heart, mind and soul.
Changes are occurring left and right at my store as well.
We got a new ASM, and are getting a new Manager. I think it will be way better for the store. Things are going to get way tighter and rules are going to be implemented like crazy.
I'm not really excited, but it's what our store needs. It's in the top 10 stores within the Starbucks Company and it's failing pretty miserably right now.
I'm hoping we pull out and whatnot, but as of right now I could careless about the welfare of the store.
Don't really know what else to say right about now, I'm a free woman, I'm loving it more and more, and I'm hopefully going places, well as far as I could go right now.
I'm hoping Nordstrom follows through and that I do ok on my 3rd interview for my line.
I couldn't be more excited.
