cherish what?
good news : my student teaching placement has changed because my teacher coach "met" with the art teachers at the schools and didn't like them! (booo). so now she is letting my student teach at *drum roll* THE BOSTON ARTS ACADEMY! yay! this place is one of the few PUBLIC arts high schools in the nation (as opposed to PRIVATE arts high schools where students pay to attend school). it's like FAME central where people roam the halls in freakish outfits, make up, unitards, and leg warmers (i feel right at home).
altho i will admit, when i've observed classes there, some students i think ONLY go there because it's an alternative to "regular" high school academics... but i'll either weed them out or make them realize they can get a good intense education even at art school. some non-believers... BOOOOOO!
anyway, this is FABULOUS news because Boston Arts Academy NEVER lets student teachers teach there for some reason. so i am truly honored. (all my art ed friends are so jealous!) plus, all the art teachers there have graduated from Mass Art. yeah represent.
so my brother sent me a check, but it hasn't come in so i called him to cancel it. UGH! so i have NO money once again ALL this week (treachery!)but he will come to the rescue on saturday and then off to jersey i go (yay)
