for those of u who do not own a neil sedaka CD what is wrong with you? this guy wrote all those amazing "oldie hits" that are so much fun to sing along with and clap with... aka "Love Will Keep Us Together", "Laughter in the Rain", and the best "breaking up is hard to do" which is belt in my room almost everyday...
this weekend was filled with an exceptional amount of
1) weed smoking
2) movie watching
3) sleeping
for halloween i was an 80s ballet dancer. the world was NOT ready to handle what i wore. haha. im so behind on school work, deadlines for my master requirements, i have 20 bucks to my name, and im running out of things to eat. is this the ultimate low for richi bee?
what keeps me on the toilet is "One Teacher In Ten" which has over 35 stories written by gay and lesbian teachers all over the US. every time i read a chapter, i use more toilet paper to wipe away tears than i do to wipe my ass.
being "out" in your profession is SO ANNOYING. FOR ALL YOU CLUELESS STRAIGHTS, gay people usually have to go thru 2 coming out phases... once in high school (if ur lucky) and a second one when you get your "career job".
i used to think coming out at work wasn't a big deal, but after reading this book my mind has changed. NO, teaching school does not have ANYTHING to do with sexuality. but maybe people have problems with associating "sex" with sexuality. (an obvious mistake).
gay people have as much right to be "gay" at work, just the way straight people have the right to be "straight" at work.
one of my favorite teachers who passed away a couple of years ago, had a wife and two kids. is that anything sexual based? no but it's supposedley a heterosexual assumption. sometimes when he would tell us anecdotes, he would include stories of them. so i'm supposed to "disguise" my sexuality and replaces my "husband" with the term "wife"? HELL NO.
if i continue to make excuses or accomodations to our straight society, nothing will ever get done to eliminate this 1920s disease of homophobia.
one principal said coming out isn't appropriate. it's not appropriate because he's making it sound like it is some horrible thing.
another principal said that coming out makes kids feel vulnerable to pedophilia because teachers are so much older. (oh so now gay people want to have sex wiht just about ANYONE? dont answer that actually....) well dont straight girls feel vulnerable to their old ass straight teachers who always have boners in class?
one principal said teenagers aren't ready yet... ok but teenagers are ready to drive, have sex, kiss, go on dates, "hang out without parents", but not ready to find out that their high school art teacher is a fag?
one gay teacher's principal told him that kids dont really know the meaning and power behind "fag", as a reason to excuse students for using that term to tease other kids. the gay teacher's response was "then go up to a big black girl, call her a fat nigger, and tell me what you've learned"
HAHHA i luv gay people! so sassy...
this one is for miss gina damiano who is always in my heart...
"their story, yours mine - it's what we all carry with us on this trip we take, and we owe it to each other to respect our stories and learn from them..."
~William Carlos Williams.
"If we can't teach our students from the strength of who we are, then what are we doing here?"
~Todd Mormon who teachers Quakers. (haha)

after i talked with a girl about this situation, she said "why do u talk so much about sexuality, it really isnt a big deal, we should just believe there is no sexuality..."
FUCK U U STUPID CUNT. pretending there is no sexuality is like saying "there is no such thing as korean culture, just korean american culture"... or saying (the obvious mistake) that "we should live colorblind". isn't the whole point of diversity to FIND OUT about other cultures? not ignore them so we can just simply live happy?
i dont wanna hear about your stupid post structuralist lesbian theories about saying "lets just believe in multi-sexuality" because im a fag and i know im gay and i know i like sucking dick. so dont tell me we should ignore categorizing sexuality u idiot. god i hate when people try to talk smarter than they are.
