man, Twiropa sure is hot...
The Bright Eyes/The Faint show last night was the shit. The Faint really blew me away. Those guys know how to put on a show! It was a full production. There were lasers, video screens, and of course, a kick ass and very energetic band. Whew. Bright Eyes were better as a whole this time too. There were about 9 people in the band. Conor, 2 Guitar players (including the guy from Yeah Yeah Yeahs), a chick playing stand up bass, a violinist, a trumpet player, 2 drummers, and a couple of guys from The Faint doing synth. Conor said that he really liked New Orleans and we should feel lucky because everyone there is "really cool and laid back" and he furthered it by saying that "he doesn't say this about every city he goes to actually." Which, I know he doesn't because he has a penchant for pissing off cities by telling the crowd how horrible it is. He seemed to be in a much better mood and a much better place in time than when I saw him in Austin in February. My only complaint is that Twiropa is way too damn hot. It was disgusting feeling. They need a better air system or something.
Next Up: Ryan Adams! I hope it doesn't disappoint. He looks like a fucking hobo now and it's rumoured that he has a pretty good drug problem these days. I plan on being up by the stage for this one. I wish I had seem him on past tours. He doesn't seem so glamourous anymore when I see him in pictures now. Fucking take a bath and shave man. Jesus.
