Happy Birthday to me.....
My birthday was yesterday. I turned the big 21. Dont feel much different. Another year older and wiser. More mustakes under my belt and lessons that were learned with them.
I started off early celebrating, that is friday night, by heading out to eat with friends before some of us went swinging. I will admit that I was rusty at first but once the WD-40 got going I was loose and having fun. No alcohol consumption at this point because I was was still twenty. The beginners lesson was cool because I had not touched swing since last spring. I think our group spent 2 1/2 hours there having fun. Oh the group conisted of Mere, Jen, Brit, Elizabeth, Jeremy, Andrew and myself. That was the most fun I've had in a long time. Next up after racing Jeremy down I-77 was midnight bowling. It ended up being about 15 people that bowled. Others came but decided to chill. I will say one thing, I'm starting to dislike flaky people. I had to turn away at least two spots because two folks I'd talked to had said yay to coming. But the night turned out good none the less. I couldn't have my first legal drink because of a wack rule the bowling alley had with the cops about a next day drinking policy. I can understand them from a legal point, maybe. Bowled till 3am then headed over to a friends appt and chilled and tryed some Killians Irish Red. Dont think i'll be buying one of those. Although i will say that the Baileys was cool. After sticking around long enough to get it outa my system I headed over to the Relay For Life shin dig. They'd been going since 6pm the evening before and it was 5:30am when i rolled over. Oh and tipsy people are no fun. Stayed around to hear the numbers tallied and they ended up raising close to 24,000 for cancer research. Made it home by 6:30 and fell asleep by 7am. SO I guess I had most of my fun before my b-day but it was still fun none the less.
And I have some terrible, disturbing, horrifying news: I got my long hair hacked off. It took me 2 1/2 years to grow the motha but it went to a good cause, Locks of Love. I'll post a before and after picture soon.
