I think that sometimes a conversation can feel like when you're in the shower, and steadily running out of warm water, and you really want to turn the water off, but can't because you still have shampoo in your hair. then when it's finally over, and your hair is rinsed, you get out and open the bathroom door only to feel even colder, but at least it's not the water that's making you cold.
on a different note, I would like to extend a warm welcome to the newest member of out neighborhood: a crazy mockingbird that hangs out across the street. this bird is an extremely talented vocalist, and particularly enjoys demonstrating its abilities at about 10:00 at night. and, as it is a particularly devoted bird, it does not stop until after almost everyone is asleep, and does not let a little thing like rain mute its song. the backup musicians, the peepers, do not quite know what to make of it, but are pleased to support such a dedicated songster. this mockingbird will be in concert just about every night across the street from Leah's house, and the concerts are free of charge.
