Trust me, this is worth watching. Yesterday Democracy Now! covered Coretta Scott King's funeral, where President Bush had the nerve to show up and sit behind the speaker's podium. But, what's worth seeing are two speeches made with Bush sitting right behind them while the room erupted in standing applause - Reverend Joseph Lowery attacking the Bush administration's war on Iraq and social programs; and Jimmy Carter speaking about how the government and FBI had the Kings wiretapped and repeatedly harassed and spied on them. It's hilarious to see Bush Sr. stand up with the crowd more than once, clapping about the attacks on the injustices that his son and the current administration are currently perpetuating.
Article / Radio / Video But um, quick note. Skip Bernice King's segment... it gets a little crazy.
