I dont know you but I have my tongue pierced, and the when you get it done the clamping hurts and when they switch the needle to the bar it hurts. It also hurts for a week after until the swelling goes down, and its hard to talk. but thats it.

haha yea my friend got her tongue pierced and it was funny as hell listening to her try to talk... but anyways, thanks for the help =) it's greatly appreciated!

hi. i was actually in the same position myself, i was gonna get it pierced on monday but i decided i didn't want to have it swollen on new years since that would be a big disaster.. the swollen time depends on the person, but it can take anywhere from 4 days-4 weeks.

haha yea it's hard to miss out on everything on new years. well thanks!!! i guess i should probably just get it done after new years since its only a couple extra days to wait. i just hope i can save my money until then... =\

hey ive had my tongue pierced b4 and it doesnt hurt at all!!!but you seriously just work urself up over nothing! but i took mine out a couple of days after i got it done because i was really hungry and left it out for like 4 hrs and it closed! but Im thinkin about getting it done again =]

I can tell you already that it doesnt hurt. If anything hurts, its the clamps they use to hold your tongue, but its over in no time. The swelling part sucked and not really being able to eat, but mine only lasted like a week. All I did was sucked on ice chips and kept it clean and it helped. I think getting my ears pierced hurt more. Haha. Good luck!
