It's funny. The last time I was pregnant, I posted almost daily. Granted, I was on bedrest, so I didn't have much else to do. This time around is different. I guess it gets too familiar. The experiences, the growth, the strangeness, all of that seems like it's old hat.
Still, this pregnancy has been quite different. No bedrest for one. I've gained twice as much weight, yet look the same as I did the last time around at this point. Of course, there's the fact that I've never actually been this pregnant before. Charlie was born at 36 weeks. Early, worrisome, very very small. Now, here I am, 37 weeks, full term, medium size baby (ok, on the smallish side), and it looks like he's not going anywhere any time soon.
Now every day is new. Every twinge, every pain, every moment of tiredness is new. And I get to do it with Charlie in tow. He's seriously getting used to the idea of being a big brother. He knows the baby is going to come live with us, though I wouldn't be surprised if, after a week or two of the baby being here, he asks when the baby is going to leave. On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if he continues to be fiercely possessive of his little brother.
baby,
pregnancy,
