Bah. I lead a boring life, so there's not much to talk about. Pretty much my day consists of work from 8-5 and then spending the rest of my evening at home, usually wasting time in front of the computer. Pretty boring.
Tomorrow is payday! Yay! I still have to take my last paycheck to the bank, so I should probably go to the bank on Saturday and put my checks in the bank so I actually have money, though I haven't really needed at the moment. The great thing about living with your parents is that you can mooch off of them. Though I get to do this only for a couple more weeks, since then I'm back to SD. But I can't wait to move back. I miss SD. Life sucks up here.
I really want to go to this mini anime con in Sac on Saturday, though I don't think the 'rents are gonna let me go, since it's a two hour drive. But I really haven't done much in the way of fun things this summer, just school and work. The only fun thing I've gotten to do is go to AX. Some summer vacation.
I bought the patterns for my Elizabeth Swann dress yesterday, and they got shipped today. So hopefully sometime next week I'll be getting my patterns in the mail. $57 for patterns. Ouch. But they're nice, historically accurate patterns that I'll put to good use, since I'm gonna be using the same patterns for my Celes opera dress, which I really, really want to make some day, even though all the embroidery is going to take FOREVER. I'm crazy. But this Elizabeth costume is going to cost me an arm in the leg. The patterns alone cost $57, and I'm getting a wig comissioned for $180 plus shipping. So I've already spent $237 and I haven't even bought the fabric (which is gonna cost a lot) or any of the trim and accessories such as bones for the corset, gromits, buttons, shoes, hat, lace, fan... Yeah, this is gonna put a big hole in my wallet. But it's gonna be my main costume for next year and I'm willing to spend the money to get it right. There's nothing worse then a half-assed costume. The only thing else I'm probably gonna make is whatever Yuna costume I decide to do for the masquerade, though I really want to make a Princess Bride dress. So many costumes, so little time.
