viva la weekend

ok *cracks knuckles* .... so i hardly ever post on this thing. i'm planning to do more of that... anywho, i had an amazingly glorious weekend. it was fabulous and very draining to say the least... let us begin at the beginning:

friday night, after a grueling work day, i got a chance to play again at the bottleneck with our band the godproject... we aren't origionally gonna headline, but that ended up being the case as i was afraid that people would leave after us and suggested that asy9 should go before us. hehe... almost felt like a dick for a second, but i was pretty pleased with my suggestion. the coolest aspect of the night was that En Esh of KMFDM and slick idiot fame actually showed up... and, apparently, thought rather highly of my performence... so of course i was stoked about that.... hehe.. did i mention i even pulled off a jumpkick at an industrial show?

saturday night, after another grueling day of work, i raced over to the jon's house and we all ran through our set as quickly as we could... we being Your Happy Ending, of course... we played our first show that night in topeka for our friend todd's b-day extravaganza... extremely glorious does truely spell it all out... finally got to see my friend adrian's band and didn't realize that i knew the james that todd was always talking about.... good times... his band a river fourth(sp?) was fabulous and they rule for helping to solve an amp/guitar/chords situation that marshall and i accidentally created..hehe.. kudos to you good sirs...... flee the seen was fucking fabulous and exactly what i needed to hear at the time... it was equally awsome to share the stage with my old friends jonah and jared. i've been in quite a few bands with both of them and it was awsome to finally be sharing the stage after quite a few years of not being in bands together..hehe... ok, that was rather redundant, but i'll leave it in anyways...

i'm just friggin tired and trying to catch up on sleep i lost over the weekend...

tickets to canada and to ozzfest shall be bought soon and i'll be going to visit the wife in august... i miss her so much, it's been since january... we plan to camp and hang out and just spend some quality alone time together... trust me, this distance thing sure isn't easy, but well worth the payoff....

dear immigration,

hurry the fuck up.

love, omy
