wow... a month to the day...

since my last post... i don't know why i haven't been updating.. i guess i've sorta been avoiding the whole blogging thing for a bit... oh well..
... ok, so the most interesting things that have happened while i've been away are: the godproject has played a few shows, unfortunately synde's car was stolen but she got it back, and i cut my finger at work.... course that does lead to the best thing, i saw MOTHERFUCKING SKINNY PUPPY!!!!!! hehe... *coughs* sorry 'bout that... hehe...

so, the godproject had a little mini tour at the beginning of this month. it was fairly excellent. the first show was right here at home in topeka, ks. we opened for a band called Die Symphony. now, apparently this band had some form of commercial success in the late 90s or something.. only one member of the band was forward enough to not mind talking and enjoy himself... they'd be right at home on todays rock radio, especially in KC,MO... the second show was in omaha, ne. we played at this guy named mike's house in old west omaha. the house was built in 1882 and was gorgeous. the architecture and everything was sweet. i was stoked. we played in his living room and did probably the best gp set to date, save for josh almost unplugging the speakers twice. we totally recovered both times though. it was rad. we were followed by a guy that did some bad ass sideshow acts (i.e., fire breathing bed of swords, blockhead). it was a most excellent trip and made a few good contacts, one being this guy named jeremy that is also known as devil boy... apparently he writes for an online zine and was totally stoked on us. that makes me happy since i'm still, after almost a year, getting used to playing this stuff... not to mention we do a rather descent cover of puppy's warlock now... :) the last show we opened for the band Cruxshadows in iowa city, ia... we played at a place called gabe's oasis... i'd heard all kinds of stuff about this venue and had visited it once way the fuck back in like '95 i think, happened to see Chix Digit that night. way lame.. fast forward to our show. it truely is what it's namesake is, a small bottleneck... dirty and grungy and not so perfect PA... it's ok.. we played fairly well to a small crowd despite the fact that we were missing the monitors... and we had a 2yr old kidd rockin out to our stuff... it was beautiful. :) i didn't like the drive home... ick... i drove most of the way back, had to stop off at a rest stop and sleep for an hour just to make it home.. not good times on that part...

ok, i've bored ya'll for now.... so i'm gonna go, but i'll post something about the puppy show in another one of these so you aren't bombarded hardcore... lol.....
