This 'Light' has memories of being accused to be Kira. This is an interesting development. Even as he denies the possibility that he could be Kira, he accepts that he has no memory of his previous actions. As a person here has no or little memory of their previous actions, can that person be considered to be the same individual with their memories acquired? Does the acquisition of memory change personality and desire? Whoever or whatever is keeping our memories from us must have a reason beyond whim or instinct. From his protesting, Yagami Light seems to have a strong sense of justice.
