My favorite memory of Jakob Menesez without a doubt:
It was my senior year at Paso high and the bell had just announced it was time to go home. I met up with Jacob at the hill and we stood around and talked about random bullshit. While standing there we noticed a kid walking with a home made life-size dummy in his hands. I don't know if it was myself or Jacob that came up with the idea, but I do remember one of us saying something like "lets wreck that kids fucking dummy!". Without thinking about how asshole-ish the move was, we ran at the kid and grabbed the dummy by both ends and tore it clean in half and ran off laughing. Such a dick thing to do, but so, so funny. Both of us later reflected on how mean of us it was to do that, but we laughed at how spontaneous our decision was to wreck that kid's dummy that he probably worked so hard on. This was one of those stories we always brought up when talking about the high school days.
The fact is, I didn't see him very often after highschool, but we had some good times and he was a good guy. I miss the days after I graduated when he and Kate would ditch school and come wake my ass up at like 2pm and entertain me at bed-side by talking about their wild mischevious adventures as young lovers hah. And I never thought I'd say this, but I'm gonna miss his ridiculously long rants about politics, and I can't help but think of the quote that goes something like "When a man dies, a library burns to the ground."
Anyhow, assuming you have livejournal wherever the fuck you went. I'll miss you.
