Internet woes.. or not?
Ah, Deutsche Telekom, how I love you!

Last week my internet connection became wonky, so day three (when the connection stopped 98%) I called their technical department.

First advice: Reboot your router. (Duh.) Install new drivers to the router (I updated those the last time, 6 months ago, but okay, I reinstalled everything. Let's not talk about the fact that advising someone to DOWNLOAD drivers while there is no internet connection is kind of ... paradox?)

Results: None. Connection still mostly non-existing.

Called again.

Second advice: We checked the line, everything looks okay. Do nothing. (Yeah. Very effective.) We'll check it later. (okay...)

Results: Got an email (!!!) that they started checking the connection. Never heard back if it was supposed to work.

1 Hour later: Internet is back again. Yay!

Next day: Telekom calls, wants to send somebody over to check my internet connection. (???) Tell them, everything is okay. Guy tells me they did NOTHING and they have no idea what the problem is. Guy tells me he wants somebody to install a new splitter (Yay, did that myself 6 months ago. Tell him so.) Guy wants to still send somebody on Monday to do .. whatever. (okaayyy.)

Monday: Nobody turns up. Nobody calls. Nobody tries to set up a new date.

Today: Call from Telekom, asking how everything turned out. (*rolls eyes* Tell the guy the short version, basically call them a bunch of idiots between the lines.) Guy says he starts some internal investigation. (Yeah, whatever.)
