This is one of the two stories I decided to keep track of (the other being Aoe's Harmonic Arc) after I left anime/manga fandom behind to never again suffer through all the seme/uke shit.

More or less the same here - but I am looking forward to reading the story again from the beginning. I am suffering from the lack of a fandom with good, long stories to read, so this is very good. :-)

do I really want to pine some more after the epic J² adaption of Tokyo Babylon that no one will ever write?

... eh?

The mind, it boggles. *g*

Actually this would be the perfect J²/SPN crossover *g* You start out with shiny vet!Jared and shy!Jensen and end up with evil!"Sam" and "Dean" ; )

I remain unconvinced that this would work. :-) I much prefer my TB fic plain! Although I continue to think that a HL crossover where Seishirou unexpectedly wakes up again after dying, minus the sakura, would be very very interesting. (A longer version than the one I wrote, that is. *g*)

But you never really checked out J² fandom, either. So yeah, I bet you don't get it *g*
The beginning is a very stereotypical (and often badly written) J² story cliché... So it would be all the more fun to make people read it without knowing what "fun" there is to come *bg*

I... see? I have read a bunch of J2 stories by now out of sheer desperation (nothing ro read!!), but you're right, so far nothing has grabbed me. Which is no doubt part of the reason that this scenario doesn't grab me either. Yeah, I can picture the shiny vet!Jared and shy!Jensen in one of those stories - probably with Jensen suffering from a debilitating stutter that makes him a recluse, while Jared loves puppies and kittens and pink cupcakes... just doesn't seem interesting to me, even with the TB resolution. It's the characters of Seishirou and Subaru that make TB for me.

A straight-up TB/X SPN crossover would be more fun... would need way more set-up, of course, but that could work better.

What did you read? *g* And what exactly are you looking for? Because if you want dark and complex - it's always SPN ; )
Did you at least start off with Non-AUs?

Jensen suffering from a debilitating stutter that makes him a recluse,

lol, that's even more than I could take *g* (I'm not a fan of the above mentioned cliche either, I just like the idea of nothing being like it seems.)

The thing I have in mind would just need as much set-up, which is why I never touched it myself. It's at least a 50,000 word story where you would have to fuse the SPN!demon verse and TB/X.

I don't have a list, I'm afraid! *g* I just keep trying recced J2 stories, particularly when they're long (I must have read most of the bigbang stories, or tried to, at any rate).

And what exactly are you looking for? I wasn't looking for anything in particular... I was just checking whether there might not be anything I'd like to read in J2-land, out of sheer lack of slash to read. *g* Dark and complex is great, but I'd be happy with almost anything that was well-written and had an actually interesting plot. Vague, I know, but I really don't have anything in mind when it comes to J2 ( ... )

I would love you forever if you wrote that - I mean, longer than you already did. :)

There is one other TB/HL XO that I know of, but that has Subaru ending up immortal, meating Duncan, and then _having sex with Duncan_, which I think permanently broke my mind, because, just.... no.

Yes, I remember that story - "just no" sums up everything about it very well, as I recall. *g*

I'm not likely to write that story, though; I have more than enough unfinished projects to wrap up. Among them a different HL crossover. :-)
