A little over five months ago - that's 20 weeks, 140 days, 3,360 hours, 201,600 minutes, or 12,096,000 seconds - I purchased 'Chrono Trigger' on the DS. As of today, 'round 9PM, I've completed it for the 18th and, for now, final time. Now, granted, not every completion was a full playthrough - the first completion was, but most of the subsequent completions were 'New Game +' infused efforts at earning the different endings CT has to offer. Finally, probably about a month or two ago, I began my current campaign to take on the newly added final boss, the Dream Devourer from Chrono Cross. It's been a grueling effort - I loves me some CT and this trip down memory lane has been nothing but kind to me - but finally, I took 'em on. Obviously, from a storyline standpoint, I didn't take him out, but I did complete the battle, earned the pointless epilogue FMV from the Playstation / Final Fantasy Chronicles rerelease of CT ("The Fall of Guardia") and Crono's ultimate weapon, the Dreamseeker. At this point, most of my crew is at Level 99 (or "Level Star Star", whichever you prefer) and they're equipped to the teeth.
Man, have I love, love, loved my time with CT.
Next up is 'Spider-Man: Web of Shadows' on the DS. Why the DS version and not the Wii version? Two reasons:
1) I don't currently own the Wii version, and
2) The DS version has been described by some websites as being a Spider-Man version of Metroid or Symphony of the Night. Count me in.
Of course, only time will tell if that description holds up but I'm going in with an open mind and, well... we'll see.
P.S. (Anyone else out there devote any time to the Arena of the Ages in CT DS? I tried but I just couldn't get into it...)
