Nothing much to report...
Still plodding through what is ostensibly my current final playthrough of Chrono Trigger DS. CTDS has been not just good but excellent to me - probably 15 playthroughs since I got it. As my interest wanes, I'm finding it more difficult to play when there are so many other games vying for my attention.
I've intermittently been playing the original Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario Bros. 2 (Doki Doki Panic, not Lost Levels) via Virtual Console. The original DKC is always greatly enjoyed. SMB2 is actually surprisingly challenging in some ways - unlike New Super Mario Bros. and a bunch of other Mario games, SMB2 doesn't tidal wave you with a surplus of extra lives.
Downloaded a bunch of new VC titles - of note, I might mention Comix Zone. I played it for a few minutes, didn't quite get into it. Perhaps after I finish CTDS, DKC and SMB2?
I still have a bunch of, y'know, actual Wii titles to open and enjoy. Funny how the older stuff has been far more appealing so far, but that's an unfair statement - it implies that I've tried any of the newer games and found them to be somehow of lesser quality and that just isn't true. The truth of the matter is I've yet to decide which to play first. Okami? Twilight Princess? Of those two, I played some small quantity of Twilight Princess in its Gamecube incarnation and then left it hanging. But then there's also The Godfather: Blackhand Edition, Madworld, Metroid Prime 3.... Really, I don't see how I can lose. I just need to arbitrarily pick a direction and run in it. Choose and be damned and all that.
PARTY AT MY PLACE ON TUESDAY!
OK, maybe not really. But I do have the apartment all to my lonesome self, so there. Or something.
