(no subject)
i really am going to go absolutely insane. i was supposed to get my permit today but nope, now i cant because i dont have a social security card and it takes 2 weeks to get one and you need it to take the permit test. so today is the 11th, my birthday was on the 29th of july and its already almost 2 weeks after my birthday. once i order my social security card (which will take a couple more days to even get the order in because my mom can never take time off of work to bring me) i have to wait 2 more weeks because thats how long it takes for them to send u a copy of the card. now i cant get my license til like the end of february when i was supposed to at least be able to get it at the end of January!
im gonna kill myself. things stress me out so easilly.
The essay question that i have to answer for my english summer reading is horrible. it makes me not want to take honors and just move back to level 3.... its about the book "The Complete Stories" by Flannery O'Conner. I only have to read like 10 short stories out of the "must-read" list. But anyways, look at the question:
"In a traditional 5 paragraph (4-5 pages) with a clear, well-crafted thesis, explore how O'Connor assaults the problems caused by human frailties (such as hypocrisy, prejudice, arrogance) but never shows any disdain for her characters. She is a master of poking fun while never allowing the reader to hate the characters too much. She does another nimble balancing act: she is both hysterically funny and profoundly serious. Look for these characteristics in O'Connor's work and develop an essay wherein you refer to at least three stories from the "must-read" list and three stories from your own list."
wow, i cant wait!! not to mention i haven't read the book yet and school starts like Septemeber 3rd or something. I still also have to keep in mind that theres two other bookbs besides the O'Connor series to read, and an essay to answer for one of them. On top of that, i'm supposed to be going away the 16th-the 21st with my friend Jessica, but i might not be able to now because i need to work on summer reading and i will probably have cheerleading practices those days. I'm also probably going away labor day weekend with Jimmy so that will take time away that i will need to read/write for the summer reading.
i hate the rest of my summer. i need jimmy to call so i can talk to himmmm :[ his phone doesnt get service in Maine though, so the only time he can call me is on his sisters phone. hopefully he will call tonight <3
