Jane Eyre

You can expect to get quite a few Jane Eyre quotes in the near future because I am now re-reading it. Actually, the last time I read it was 5th grade, I think. I remember we all had to write down our favorite books, and mine was Jane Eyre, which the teacher was quite impressed with, although I think I did a whole lot of skimming back then!

Anyway, I started watching the Jane Eyre 2006 BBC miniseries yesterday and felt compelled to read the novel again, which I think was a good decision because it is simply brilliant.

"Would you not be happier if you tried to forget her severity, together with the passionate emotions it excited? Life appears to me too short to be spent in nursing animosity, or registered wrongs." (Chapter 6)
