don't even bother saying goodbye, i'll help you with the door

Hey livejournal. Yeah I've been really lax with writing in this goddamn thing lately but I'm forcing myself to not neglect it anymore. From now on I plan on writing what I did every day in this thing, if I have time. And I usually do. First, I'll start off with catching up with some stuff you should know about me since the last time I updated.

I'm unemployed right now but I'm pretty sure I will be working at the Bagel Barrel as early as next week, it all comes down to when I can get down there and turn in an application and that should solve my temporary money woes.

I have a girlfriend now. Her name is Mandi Horgan, she's in 11th grade at Central Bucks West. Uh... yeah. If you're not really bad at math you should be able to determin e that she's a tad younger than I am, but whatever. She's fucking awesome, she's got a great sense of humor and shares my hatred of just about everything on earth. She's independent and un-clingy, I can actually talk to her without having to talk slow or feel like I'm talking down to her which is a problem I have with a lot of girls. Furthermore, I'm not getting any younger, and eventually I'm gonna be at the age where you will be in big trouble for making out with high school aged girls, and until I'm at that point I'm going to take advantage of it. Yeah so... I'd probably have more to write here but we've only been going out for about a day, so there's not much to say. But still, it is noteworthy that I've got a girlfriend. That shit doesn't happen too often. She's really cute too, maybe in a few weeks I'll take some stupid picture of us on my camera phone with our faces all smushed together. She wanted to do one yesterday but I told her I didn't want to rush things.

The only major downside to the whole girlfriend thing is the fact that her parents are kind of shady about her hanging out with a fine 19 year old guy like myself. It's understandable, but frankly I'm a pretty good influence. It's not like I just want to fuck her (or like I want to fuck her at all), or like I'm going to get her drunk or something. I'm a role model goddammit! I'm hoping they'll get over it soon so I can actually see her without going through some dumb runaround or whatever, I'm pretty confident. Since the only real problem with her and I is her fucking parents, I'd say we're in pretty good shape. It could be a lot worse.

Other than that I'm happy because Kidnapping Lindbergh is going better than ever. The show in May at the Rotunda is going to be huge, and I'm hoping it will serve as some sort of a jump-off for us, like with people actually knowing who we and wanting us to play their shows or whatever. Things have been going a lot better lately, both in terms of people's reaction to what we're doing and how I feel about the band. Needless to say, I am eagerly awaiting this summer when we can practice really often and get a lot of new shit done.

So, that's what I've been doing lately. Now here's what I did today.

I woke up at about 12:20 and sat around for a few hours. Mike Pellegrino called me after school let out and told me that Rip It could practice so he picked me up and we went over to Kyle Kimball's to work on our Mogg Fest on Saturday. We're playing a short set. Misfits cover, two originals (one of which is real short and has a floorpunch part where I say "go carve a pumpkin, not your fucking wrist"), and a Movielife cover. We're playing it a three-piece because Dion has been rendered even more useless than usual with his arm injuries, but I guarantee that you won't be able to tell the difference. We practiced, Pelle dropped me off.

Murphy called me and showed up with Bob shortly afterwards. He, Rinaldo and I went to Burger King and Taco Bell to eat dinner, then we went to the mall to wander around for awhile. I like the Montgomery Mall, I think going to the mall and wandering around with a few of your friends is probably the cheapest way to have fun around here. Not to "shop", I have little or no interest in any of the stores there (besides reading the books and magazines without paying for them, staring at the anti-shoplifting shit in every store, and criticizing the music in the record stores), I just liek to walk around and make comments at/to the other shoppers. People are pretty fucking funny. I find a crowd of people a lot more amusing, disgusting, and all around entertaining than most television shows or movies. Which is probably why I haven't turned on the TV in my room in about a month.

Then I came home, went online, talked to Mandi on the phone for like a half an hour before she had to go to bed (she wakes up at 5 AM for some weird reason, it takes her like two hours to get ready for school. weird.) and here I am, back at livejournal.

I promise more frequent updates.
