posting regular entries after having post-dated entries

Hi, I have several post-dated entries for lists and such, and every time I post through X-Journal, I am forced to used the backdated option or the entry will not post. However, if I do that, the entry will not show up on my friends' friends lists. I can fix it in LiveJournal, but there is not really a point in using a client if I have to redo it.
Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
