Japan female won Silver Medal at Genee International Ballet
The Genée International Ballet Competition 2011 is held for the first time in Cape Town, South Africa, at Artscape Theatre Centre. No gold medals are awarded. Female silver medals are awarded to Mana Ogawa (17, Japan) and Si Jia Miao (19, Hong Kong, China). A male silver medal is awared toJin Hao Zhang (16, China). A female bronze medal is awarded to Ashley Scott (17, South Africa) and a male bronze medal is awarded to Mlindi Kulashe (19, South Africa). The audience award goes to Jessica Brown(15, Australia). One of the highlights of this year's competition is Sizodanisa (Let's Dance!), a community dance project involving children from townships and communities in Cape Town.
