Alright, so tell me that this isn't the best idea for an album ever.

Nope. You're not the first one to think of it. I had that idea way back when I was a lad in High School. The only difference is that I'd go back to the mid 50's and take credit for the entire BEATLES Invasion, but also take songs by artists I like now like Elvis Costello, Brendan Benson, Ron Sexsmith and so on.
In consolation for taking their songs before they wrote them, I'd pay for their studio time so that they could record even MORE wonderful songs for the world to enjoy.

See, you'd just be outright stealing songs from rock bands, whereas I'd be "remixing" classical songs to feature rockin' rhythm sections that weren't there previously. The only common thread is the time machine, but come on, what album wouldn't be better with a time machine?

I just ordered 2 books by John Schwartzweilder, Simpsons writer called "The Time Machine Did It!" and "Double Wonderful".

But seeing as how you've listened to me covering songs you know how I take the songs and make them my own.
