I went and saw Foo Fighters on Tuesday night.
Walked half an hour in the pouring rain to the bus stop.
Caught the train to Richmond and walked in the rain to Rod Laver.
Waited in line for 2 hours.
Got inside and got my wristband, waited in front of the doors for another hour.
Got in, walked very very quickly (and got yelled at to not run.. even though I wasn't even jogging haha) down to the floor and sat on the floor waiting for another hour.
The Nation Blue were fucking horrible hahahahahahahaha. Like really fucking horrible.
Kaiser Chiefs were really good. Don't particularly like them, but they played a couple of songs I was down for and they were really good.
Foo Fighters... well haha. I happened to be front row the whole time, right in front of Chris Shifflet. Fuck dude.
I had tears in my eyes pretty much the whole time, and a huge smile on my face for the whole time and then some. And I mean huge, haha.
There was a guy with a camera right in front of me and when they were playing Learn to Fly a girl to my right waved in front of me and I realised I was being filmed! Haha so I waved and the cameraman looked at me and smiled. I think he was filming me because I was singing every word to every song really loudly? Hahaha.
Um Taylor sang Cold day in the sun and it was fucking brilliant. He strums his guitar a bit like a kiddy and it was cute. So I saw Dave Grohl play the drizzums. This made my fucking lifetime haha.
Shit, I could go on for days about how amazing it was. They played Up in arms and The One so I was totally fucking stoked.
How many people are lucky enough to see their favourite band of 9 years live from the front row?
Yeah I don't know, but me! Thinking about it is making me want to cry again! hahaha.
(Ps: Picked up my car last night, organised rego and insurance today... so it's all mine!)
