Life update
seems like it's been forever. a lot of things have changed. I think...
First and foremost, I'm graduating on time. My options were to take 22 credits in the spring and get my 2 majors and Chinese minor, or take an extra semester and have to pay for housing for only 6 credits worth of classes, or drop a major. So... I've decided to drop my international business co-major. I'll still have fulfilled the requirement for both majors, but I will be doubling one class between 2 majors so they won't let me officially declare it.
The only hesitation I have with this plan is 1. I'm fucking graduating on time. 2. I originally planned to intern next summer, then go to school that 1 extra semester, and then job search in January when the market should be better due to time, and less number of competing students for jobs.
Oh well- gotta throw some caution to the wind, I suppose. Why else have I already have 3 internships, though only 2 were real legit internships. I refuse to pay NYU anymore money, and I want to get the fuck out of here. Oh, and theyre rescinding some of my credits. -sigh-
I've been climbing a lot outdoors. it's been fun. Last weekend went to Princeton, NJ, drove to Point Pleasant, PA where Stover is. Saturday was so beautiful, we climbed in tank tops and the boys were shirtless and then we ended up stripping to our undies and swimming and playing in the river. I don't think I could have imagined a more perfect day. Except that there were literally 20 frogs mating on the side of the river in this one part that's not moving, and I freaked the fuck out if you could all imagine.
The one day climbing trip turned into a weekend as we ended up at Jon's house and his parents are so nice. We had fantastic dinner, drank cosmopolitans that Jon's stepdad is fantastic at making, hot-tubbed, and then watched some Harry Potter. Next day rewind & repeat.
I love climbing. Remember when I was bit by the travel bug last year? It's happened again. I've been looking up flights to go anywhere.... (Argentina, Brazil...Panama)... I want to go. I think I'm going to Vegas again in August for my bday. :) I'm really excited already. Just gotta get through these summer classes. I don't really get a break this summer at all. Hop right into new classes after finals. Oh well. Gotta do what I gotta do.
I've been on campus since 1AM. I worked till 11 PM last night. I have my Chinese final today, which is what I've been cramming hardcore for. Sigh.
I got a 15/15 on a HUGE paper i wrote, and I'm really proud of myself. This is the first real 100 I've ever gotten in college on a BIG assignment. It was on Takeda, a japanese pharmaceutical company. :)
I miss you guys. I feel like I haven't talked to anyone in so long. I'm sorry.
