[ character ]

Name: Yukito Tsukishiro
Canon: Cardcaptor Sakura
Age: 3, appears 17

Physical Appearance: Yukito is a perfectly average teenager! On the outside, at least; he stands at five feet, nine inches tall and has a slender, slightly wiry frame. He has amber eyes and short, soft-looking, grey-ish brown hair. He wears rectangle frame eyeglasses.

Personality: Yukito is a cheerful, kindhearted individual. He's a bright, happy person, always willing to talk and ready with a friendly word, or simply sit and listen if that's required, too. He's very gentle and it's not uncommon him for pull a mother hen act on those he cares about when they're wounded, sick, or generally just under the weather. He cares openly and a great deal about his loved ones but is still polite enough to avoid being overbearing or embarrassing his friends. He seems to be lacking an ego altogether and isn't hurt or offended when someone would rather speak of a problem to Yue than to him, and while Yue created him Yukito treats his other self more like a brother than anything (which Yue doesn't seem to mind, fortunately).

Though concerned with the happiness of others, calling Yukito an airhead isn't an entirely unjust accusation. He's more concerned with making himself and others content than he is with maintaining appearances, and this can lead to him shrugging off embarrassing situations (such as tripping and falling flat on his face) with a bright smile and little concern for how much of a fool he might look. He tolerates being teased amazingly well and he allows himself to get childishly excited over the prospect of simple things like a good meal or a trip to the candy store. When excited he tends to babble on about whatever it is that has him excited, and while he'll be quiet if asked that doesn't mean he runs out of steam quickly.

He has a handful of odd habits he's known to indulge in. Thanks to Touya he's no longer prone to dropping off to sleep without warning, but this habits has stuck. He still loves to sleep, quick to drop off and slow to wake, and it's not uncommon for him to be found sneaking a catnap every now and then. He still tends to pack away more than one would suspect someone his size to be capable of doing, and even when he's not eating he has something of an oral fixation. He destroy his pen caps by chewing on them, crunch his ice, and demolish his lollipops faster than anyone else, and attempt to chew on jawbreakers. Overall, he tends to seem far less rigidly controlled than his other self.

Background: 300 years ago, Yue and his counterpart, Keroberos, were created by the Sorcerer Clow Reed to serve as guardians and companions for the man. From day one he was dedicated and loyal, and he came to love Clow deeply. That much, for Yue, was simply enough, and he was happy to live his live with Clow and Keroberos and many years. But no one lives forever and eventually Clow decided it was time for him to pass on, and pass his powers and creation on to another. Yue was far from happy about this, but he and Keroberos were sealed away with the Clow Cards and left dormant for many years.

Yue isn't certain what, exactly, prompted him to rise from his slumber, but one day he was suddenly released from his confinement, but one day he was and he realized that the time for Clow's successor to be chosen was close. Though steadfast in his belief that no one could replace Clow, Yue refused to fail his master and made sure he had an adequate place to rest and wait until the successor was chosen and the cards were collected. Some careful observations of the city gave Yue enough information for him to create an appropriate hidden form for himself and thus began the 'life' of Yukito Tsukishiro. He came into existence as a (physically) 14-year-old Japanese student that had just moved into Tomoeda. He met and befriended Touya Kinomoto, the older brother of Sakura Kinomoto, and eventually came to befriend the rest of their family as well. Three years passed before Sakura found the Clow Cards and was selected as Clow's successor by Keroberos, but even as this occurred and Sakura began to collect the cards, Yue lay dormant. Yuktio remained unaware of Yue, and of the truth of his own nature.

Finally, Sakura collected the last two Clow Cards and wrote her name on them, and Yue emerged for the Final Judgment. Despite having prepared himself for the even for three years Yue was not of the belief that Sakura would be able to defeated him and succeed in her task -- especially not when she insisted that she wouldn't hurt him. He was very, very surprised when Sakura, with a bit of indirect help in the form of Clow's Moon Bell, managed to capture (and therefore defeat) him without hurting him -- and with Windy, no less, a card whose powers he should have been more than capable of neutralizing. Sakura's skill, and her words to him afterward, were enough to convince Yue that she was worthy to hold the Clow Cards and become he and Keroberos' new Master.

Still, even though the Final Judgement came and passed and Eriol arrived in order to secretly guide Sakura through a series of tests (created to give her opportunities to transform the Clow Cards into Sakura Cards) Yukito remained unaware of who and what he really was. This remained true even as Yue began to weaken. Since his magic adopted the energies of the moon, Yue's power mimicked it. His strength was dependent on that of his master, and with Sakura's magical energy being drained by her task of transforming the cards Yue was starting to fade out of existence. He was rapidly approaching the point where he could barely keep himself intact -- and even sooner than his own cessation of existence would come that of Yukito. The only thing that could keep Yue alive would be an infusion of magical energy from another. Sakura couldn't provide such a thing. Touya, on the other hand, could, and both Yue and Touya were aware of it.

Despite attempts by Ruby Moon (Eriol's guardian) to prevent such a thing from happening, Touya was eventually able to offer his own powers to Yue. In exchange he asked Yue to not only protect Sakura, but to protect himself for Yukito's sake. Yue agreed, and it was with the infusion of said energy from Touya that Yukito became aware of his true nature, and of Yue himself. Though he was concerned that he was only the false form of Yue and that he had taken Touya's power to live, Touya assured him that losing Yukito was much worse than simply losing his power. This was in mind when Yukito gently declined Sakura's feelings for him, and confessed to her his own feelings for Touya.

Not long after, Sakura was given her final test by Eriol, and with help from Yue and Keroberos she was able to transform the last two Clow Cards -- the Dark and the Light -- into Sakura Cards. It was only a day after this that Yue and Yukito suddenly found themselves in Veil.

Strengths: Though a remarkably average teenager physically, Yukito has still got his share of semi-impressive traits. He's physically fit and very athletically skilled; he possesses the reflexes, strength, speed, and instincts necessary to frequently beat varsity players at their own game. He is a skilled archer as well and benefits from the focus and strength necessary to compete.

Weaknesses: Yukito has vision that's approaching the 20/100 range. He needs his glasses if he wants things to be more distinct than colored blurs, and if he loses them he's out of luck until he can locate and puzzle out how to use the machine at the eye doctor's that grinds down the lenses. The powers he and Yue are capable of using are dependent on the moon (strongest when the moon is full, weakest during the new moon) and therefor his usefulness as a combatant is dependent on such.

Similarly, Yue's survival is partially depending on the power of his current master (or mistress, in his case). Currently, he is able to live due to the infusion of magical energy he received from Touya. However, keeping the personalities of Yue and Yukito separate (or more specifically, to keep Yue from overwhelming and erasing Yukito) is still a significant strain on Yue without Sakura present to supplement Touya's gift. In order to supply enough energy for them both to live, Yukito needs to supply two things: a lot of food and a lot of sleep. Though not as bad as before, he still tends to eat 2-3 times as much food as the average person, and for every 15 hours he spends awake he needs at least 9 hours of sleep.

If Yukito can't have both of these he's prone to falling asleep on the spot, and bits of Yue's personality will start to overwrite his own. Prolonged sleep and food deprivation will eventually result in Yukito being completely erased, and it will be extremely difficult for Yue to undo it, if possible at all.

Items: Yukito will be arriving with jeans, a pair of brown bicycle shoes, socks, a grey t-shirt, a blue jacket, and his eyeglasses.

Powers: Yukito has no powers of his own, but the nature of the veil has granted him access to Yue's skills. See Yue's section for more details.

[ character ]

Name: Yue
Canon: Cardcaptor Sakura
Age: 300ish, appears 20

Physical Appearance: A tall, slender young man. He has long silver hair that falls past his feet, narrow features, violet, cat-like eyes, and pale skin.

Personality: Yue is a sharp contrast to Yukito. While Yukito is warm and friendly, Yue is cold and keeps his distance. Yuktio is open and well-mannered, while Yue tends to be closed and, while not exactly rude, short with his word and blunt in his dealings with others. While Yukito is more worried about upsetting others and otherwise unconcerned with how silly or air-headed he might appear to others, Yue will cling to his dignity like it's the only thing keeping him afloat. He is harsh and stern, often unforgiving, intelligent, focused, and he can be stubborn to a fault. Yue, quite simply, doesn't project a very personable image.

And this is true in many ways, though not to the extent that Yue might hope for. He's not very social or friendly, but nor is he anti-social or actively attempting to drive people away. For all that he may act like he doesn't need others, Yue loves those he cares about deeply and is at his most somber when separated from them. With those people he counts as 'his' Yue is much different from the young man most people see. Though still quiet and somewhat undemonstrative he's willing to give and accept displays of affection and love. He is far more kind and sympathetic than he is willing to let most people know, and even with those he does care about he can be prone to insisting that he was never that worried (even if his actions say otherwise).

In a similar vein, his frosty exterior immediately gains a few very obvious cracks when those he cares about are threatened. Yue might be less fiery than his counterpart Keroberos, but that doesn't mean he is without a temper. He bristles easily and pushing him to violence is remarkably easy when you know what his buttons are -- and when you make him angry, you tend to make him very angry. He was created to be a guardian and that's very obvious when Sakura is threatened, and though he hasn't seen the man in years the same will hold true for Clow as well. He thinks little of his own health when defending his master (beyond thoughts of 'if I'm taken down now then I leave her vulnerable') and doesn't have any sympathy for those that would try to harm her, either.

Strengths: Yue's magical power is his main advantage. He is also physically very strong and fast, and has to problems lifting and carrying another grown man, both on foot and through the air. He has acute accuracy and is very intelligent and perceptive, and can fluently read, write, and speak three different languages (English, Chinese, and Japanese).

Weaknesses: Yue's most prominent weakness is Sakura Kinomoto. He's sworn to protect and serve her at any cost up to and including his own life. He'll drop everything -- everything -- in a heartbeat should she need his help, and gladly throw himself in harm's way in order to defend her. He will do the same for Clow, should the man ever appear, but Sakura takes priority. He isn't used to being in direct control of Yukito's body, and so being stuck that way will be extremely disconcerting and upsetting for him for some time, and make him prone to making unpleasant mistakes. The powers he and Yukito are capable of using are dependent on the moon (strongest when the moon is full, weakest during the new moon) and therefor his usefulness as a combatant is dependent on such.

Items: The only items Yue will be able to access are the ones that Yukito will appear with. Should he ever be able to assume his true form again, he will have his own set of clothing.

Powers: Yue has wind- and ice-based powers, able to summon both in an assortment of forms and use them as weapons. Similarly, he can created shields to block attacks both physical and magical in nature, and energy arrows in order to attack. His wings allow him to fly, and he's capable of sensing the presence and energies of magical or otherworldly creatures, items, and magics. All of these powers will be nerfed down greatly, and his elemental powers will rely heavily on the environment.

RP Sample: Yue had taken over as soon as they arrived, and he wasn't about to hear any complaints about how Yukito should be in charge. Fortunately, Yukito knew better than to question it, though Yue could tell that his other self was just as worried as he was. Upon taking over the two of them had not assumed Yue's form, instead remaining in Yukito's, and that left the both of them buzzing with tense nervousness. The fact that Yue could barely draw so much as a sliver of ice or the faintest stirrings of the wind out of the air around him only upset the guardian further, and left him snarling and cursing (in Yukito's voice, which he distantly realized was odd) the strangeness of the world and the new moon he was certain, was crippling him.

The quiet was nice, of course, but still deeply unsettling. This was a city, there were supposed to be people, and the complete lack of both did nothing but make Yue annoyed and anxious. When he stumbled again he growled quietly under his breath, though just a moment later he sighed quietly. Yukito was a shy ball of unhappiness in the back of Yue's head, and every time the Guardian tripped there came an apology from the much younger of the two.

It's not your fault, Yue reminded Yukito, and then he directed his attention back out towards the rain-soaked street. Where could he find another living soul in this place...?
