There is a reason for EVERYTHING

If getting into the Middle east was a baseball game, I fucking won 30 to NUTTIN.

Well this has been an incredibly stressful week. When I found out months ago thats Explosions in the sky were playing an 18+ show in Boston on my birthday I knew I had to go, and I knew I was going to get in, even though I would only be 17. But when have I said I was going to do something and I haven't? Anyways, I have been so stressed all week, becuase this week could have been the best week ever, and it could have sucked alot of dick. So Thursday rolled around and we had a half day. We all hopped into whips and went to pizza buffet, not before we went to the dollar store, we had 19 kids and they flat out asked us if we were gunna rob them. Nick stole some shit, and a few kids bought some shit, we fucked the place up and it was good. We went over to pizza hut and fucking dominated, where Samantha showed up to make it an even 20 kids, I hope she didin't feel too awkward. Shane, Dan, Joey, Charles, Amanda, Dooley, Andrew, Rachael, 80, Samantha, Nick, Randy, Derek, Pat, Vic, Pasta, Connor, Jeremy and Jared all went, thanks alot. Jared informed me that Dave STF was selling tickets to the show that night and I told him to hook me up with him. We all went home and I went to new start. After new start Kyle imed me and asked if out shirts were done, I told him they were and he asked if he could come get me so he could see them, but we would not have had the money till today, but once again Kyle has to go and be the fucking nicest guy ever. He says he would pay the remainder and we could pay him back when we got the money, definition of a good guy. So we went and got em and they came out fucking great, awesome quality. We dropped one off to charles and dooley came by and picked one up they were both happy about them. Now here is the fun part. I couldnt start to name the people who told me I wouldnt get into the show. so here is the story with that, the earth is not a cold dead place.

We leave for the show and drive in, it was so artsy. We meet Dave from since the flood there and he sells me a ticket for 10 bucks we get in line and I get to the front I go through they take my permit and they say 'sorry cant let you in i cant read it" i plead a few seconds and then I left and I said said "ok im getting in this is just a small problem". So I walk around back and hung out in an alley looking at all the vans seeing if they had Texas plates, where they are from. So none of them around have them, and I was just about to give up, and up comes a black van with Texas plates and 2 guys get out I say "hey are you guys in explosions in the sky?" they say yes and I tell them my story, he introduces himself as Munaf and say, "Dont worry man relax its going to be ok, we are running a bit late, let us run inside and see whats up, stay right here" they come back out and ask me and Jim our names, we tell him and he asks if Jim is 18 and he goes and says something to someone and comes back and says "ok Jim your on our guest list so your all set, go around front and tell them you are on our guest list. Ryan your gunna help us with gear"
So I go over to their van and there was about 10 guys helping them unload
and the lady at the Middle east comes up and is giving everyone wrist bands and asks me "Are you in the band?" and say "mmmm yea friends(insert mumbeling here)" she puts a vip wrist band on me and Munaf comes over and he was said "well all the gear is in already...so follow me" he brings me down the back stairs over the stage and has me follow him to the bar. He gets some drinks and he comes over and hands me a coke and says "happy birthday man, enjoy the show blend in, wait for Jim and DONT DRINK" I attempt tell him how much I love his band how much I appreciate it all, he was one of the nicest people i have ever met, he shakes my hand and says 'thank you' he goes back stage and im in. Jim comes in and we are both wicked excited, I go to the bathroom and get some merch, I got one of every shirt and got one for Dooley too. The first band was really good reminded me of Vostok, the second band was nuts, they were from England and I could not even explain them. Explosions in the sky came on and at this point the place is fucking sold out and I am one person away from the stage, they played the first 2 songs in a row off the new cd, and then the first 2 songs off the old cd, and played 2 other songs. They played for over and hour. They were SO TIGHT, so dynamic, they had everyone speechless, not a single word was spoken. At points they played so softly you could have heard a pin drop but no one said anything. They used crazy effects and were wicked energetic. They were unbelieveable. When they finished I went up and just examined all the gear they had and just soaked it all in. Bouncers came over eventually and asked us to get going, but I did not want to leave with out saying something to Manuf. He came over and all I could say was thank you, he said he appreacited us comming this and that and I said goodbye. He still remember our names, he was so fucking nice.

It really shows that the earth is not a cold dead place, everything happens for a reason and I fully believe that now. I feel amazing and thank you to everyone who said happy birthday and saw me on my birthday. It just made me wish that the one final peice was in place...but I wont give up...you are worth it.

best birthday yet.
