It's weird how much value we place in seemingly meaningless things like paper. Currency, diplomas...There's a lot of meaning behind them yet they feel the same as anything else. Weird, is all.
The summer is officially underway! I spent a day with Tiffany and Adjoa in Adjoa's summer sublet in Hyde Park. We went to the 57th Street Art Fair and did lots of summery things like eat gelato, noodles etc. and hanging out at Powell's. Hyde Park is pretty much the best place ever. We took pictures and decided that what we need to find is three attractive, single and educated black men. I guess they don't really have to be black, but it makes it even more challenging. Hell, we don't really even *have* to find these dudes, but it would be interesting. So that's where we are. I guess I'll end up meeting some dude whose friends dragged him to a club, sitting in the corner reading Dostoevsky. Or not, whatever. I don't really have time for such things.
Josh got Facebook to keep in touch with me, which I think is pretty neat. I definitely miss that dude quite a bit. I find myself missing Iowa a lot, which is weird considering that I gave it a lot of shit in my day. Soon enough I will adjust to Chicago, but for now, I am kind of experiencing a culture shock with the whole fast paced city environment. Of course I love this place, but I guess I left a bit of my heart in Iowa.
God, I'm corny! Fuck you!
