Yes Disney is acquiring Marvel.

Disney also owns or Distributed the following properties ( some kids stuff and lots of NON kids stuff ) via ABC, Miramax, Pixar, ESPN, among some of the properties they already own:

LOST
Desperate Housewives
Grey's Anatomy
Scrubs ( currently. SAVED by ABC )
Pushing Daisies
Sin City
Cursed
Clerks
Mallrats
Chasing Amy
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2
Zatoichi
Deep Blue
The Three Amigos
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Chicago
They
Frida
Prozac Nation
Chocolat
Velvet Goldmine
Power Rangers
The Incredibles
Toy Story
Wall-E
Hellraiser
From dusk till Dawn
Spy kids
Kids
The Crow

And a buttload of others. So Yes. They are buying Marvel. I can accept that some might not like that there is more and more a "central" point that owns everything, BUT That doesn't mean there will be a Wolverine Musical ( might I point out that there already is a Batman Musical, and Disney had nothing to do with it ) or that Marvel products will be "watered down" as so far individual properties have been left with pretty good creative control. What it DOES mean is that Universal Studios Florida ( and other theme parks ) will likely be paying Disney royalties to use those properties, which is kinda ironic.
