For those of you who have no idea what I am shrieking and doing the happy-dance about, Quinton Hoover is an illustrator known for his work on a bunch of collectible card games, including Magic the Gathering, Middle Earth, XXXenophile, and V:TES. I have idolized him since I first set eyes on his work in 1994.
And he's coming to our con!!!
"Our con" is in fact TempleCon http://www.templecon.org/ - the gaming convention that I have co-hosted for the past three years in Providence, Rhode Island. This year, we have an ultra-cool steampunk theme, to match our new venue, the 1920s Art Deco gorgeousness that is the Providence Biltmore Hotel.
And now we have Quinton Hoover. :)
On top of that, we just found out today that we have two guests coming out from Privateer Press in Seattle - Press Gang Quarter Master Dan Brandt and Developer Kevin Clark, so we have a ton of work to do in the next few weeks, getting the word out about their visit to the WARMACHINE/HORDES crowd. There are rumors of a premier event happening here if we can generate enough player interest...
I think I'm in heaven... A clanking, steampunk, filled-with-insane amounts-of-work heaven, but heaven nonetheless. ;)
