(no subject)
It's SO COLD today (-20 with the wind chill)...currently 5 degrees! This morning, our brave little furnace could only get the heat up to 65, so I kind of cranked up the heat to a balmy 75 (I've only done this once otherwise).
I'm meeting with a student today and cleaning the house and grading. Tomorrow we're hosting the meet and greet. I'm still a little nervous about it. And then for the rest of the week, I have lesson planning and grading!
On Tuesday, I have a second interview for a position I interviewed for last week (here's hoping!). The funny thing is that it is for the position that I felt worse about my interview than for the one that I felt best about. Huh. I guess you never know, right. My only complaint about the position (looking at going into it) is that it doesn't pay as much as I'd like for it to. But a) there is definitely room for direct advancement, b) the benefits are fantastic, and c) If I teach a section for two quarters a year, it'll make up for the pay (even though I will be working harder, and my time will be stretched--but as far as actual $$$--it'll be good).
