Die State Rally! Memoirs of a Geisha

I just took the State Rally (Spanish III) and it was hard! The reading comprehension questions didn't even go in order. And the questions didn't exactly match the passage; it was all reworded. Some of the words I didn't know about appeared in the questions >.<. And the grammar was hard too. I didn't expect past perfect, pluperfect participle,

I'm sure you did just fine in your rally, you're too smart not to anyway.

Sayuri pissed to hell out of me. I know she was in love and all, but geez. It just felt like she didn't appreciate anything that Nobu did for her. I'll admit that it's great she got a happy ending after all the crap she went through, but damn. She's so ungreatful. Maybe it's some really deep love thing that I'll never understand, but ugh.

Though I think it's more Mameha's fault that Sayuri got adopted and etc. It was Mameha's plan for everything to happen. And Pumpkin did do some things like not defend Sayuri when Hatsumomo slandered Sayuri to Dr. Crab, or stole many of Sayuri's customers by invading on Mameha and Sayuri's tea houses. You know? I think you're blaming Sayuri a little too much. It's more the big sisters' faults than theirs.

I guess that makes Sayuri human though, because of all her flaws. She's still not likable in my opinion.

Nobu was such a cool character! I loved him so much, especially because he's such a smart ass. He made me laugh. I really wish Sayuri would have just fell for Nobu instead, but that would have made her seem like a really fickle person in a way? Undevoted. Well, that's my opinion.

The chairman asked Mameha to adopt Sayuri though. Pumpkin is Hatsumomo's little sister though. And Pumpkin did tell Sayuri about what Hatsumomo told the doctor even though she knew she'll get in trouble for it.

The Chairman is already married though... : ( I like how everything was written, it's just Sayuri's character that annoys me.

Do you have the Memoirs of a Geisha movie? Can I borrow it if you have it?

My sister has it downloaded. She hasn't burned a copy of it yet.

It's not Mameha's fault that Sayuri got adopted because the only reason she adopted Sayuri was because the Chairman asked her to. Without Mameha, Sayuri would just be a maid.

In the end, Pumpkin told Sayuri about how Hatsumomo slandered Sayuri to Dr. Crab. That was helpful to Sayuri.

It was Hatsumomo's fault for invading on Mameha/Sayuri so I agree with that.

Sayuri didn't have to get adopted if she just wanted to be a geisha and be with the chairman. Mameha wanted to run Hatsumomo out of town, and to do that, she planned on getting Sayuri adopted. That's why I think it's Mameha's fault Sayuri got adopted. Hell, Sayuri didn't even know about the adoption thing until Mameha pointed it out. It's not her fault.

Sayuri is such a moocher, using her friend only for benefits, bleh.
