another valentine's day with no queen for th' king. (any of the ones i'd really want for a valentine are either already married or hundreds/thousands of miles away anyway.) and not for a lack of trying. the few allegedly single women i asked suddenly remembered they had dates. same old shit.
to console myself i was going to head north to pick up a wii from loki's gaming store in canton. and then my check engine light came on the other day, so i dropped it off at th' shop.
the check engine light (just the car's way of saying it doesn't like my gas cap with its halfassed seal) was literally the least of my problems...thanks to the accident my exhaust system is COMPLETELY mangled all to shit (everything's either bent or broken, from th' manifold back), the brake line was rusted to the drums/discs/whatever & completely disintegrated when removed, my power steering fluid line was leaking & needs to be replaced, and of course all the fluids needed replacing.
total before muffler (which will be paid with The Other Lady's insurance): $830. of which i can cover maybe 400 at best?
