Reading Odds And Ends

This post isn't going to have any sort of form to it. It's really more just me putting down some thoughts about this book challenge thing.

I'm only using the list as a guideline because there's no way that I'm going to hit every item. A few because I don't want to, a few because it might not be possible.
  • Memoir and Nonfiction. I dislike both genres.
  • Graphic Novel. They literally give me headaches. I don't know if it's the paper on which they're printed or if it's the non-linear way the story is told (and by that I mean, the story isn't told necessarily from top left to bottom right; sometimes, the pages have to be turned sideways to get the story, sometimes the panels are arranged so the story goes top left then bottom left, then back up to top right, etc.), but I end up with migraines.
  • Book That I Started But Never Finished. It's rare that happens but when it does, it's for a reason and I'm not going to torture myself for a book challenge.
  • Book You Were Supposed To Read In School But Didn't. I was that nerd in school who not only did the assigned reading, but also read extra.
  • Book You Own But Have Never Read. I have read every book I currently own at least once.
  • Book By An Author With Your Same Initials. Good luck with that one.
I'm not going to double up items either. If I read a book that's part of a trilogy and also set in the future and also features non humans, I'm not going to use that book to fulfill 3 items. That's not to say that other people can't do it that way. There aren't really any rules. I just want to read as many different books as possible.

Below the cut are some books that I've already read.
Book With A Number In The Title
One Plus One by Jojo Moyes.

Book By A Female Author
Breakwater Bay by Shelley Noble

Mystery Or Thriller
Skinner by Charlie Huston

Book With One-Word Title
You by Austin Grossman

Book Of Short Stories
In These Times by Megan Derr. I can't provide a link to this because I guess technically it's not really a book of short stories, but the way I got them was bundled so I'm counting it.

Book Set In The Future
The Long War by Terry Pratchett. I'm actually still in the middle of this. It is taking me forever to get through it because while I'm enjoying it, it's LONG and I get overwhelmed with it so I need to take a break from it occasionally.

Book That Made You Cry
All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

Book By An Author You've Never Read Before
May We Be Forgiven by A.M. Homes
