Roy Rogers Hits Big!
The show was phenomenal. I mean...wow -- best show I've played yet. Ever. We went on with full confidence and the audience was just really, really great and polite and yet still energetic. All four of us were the best we've ever been, and after the show, people came up asking, emphatically, when we were going to record/if we had a CD out yet and this was our FIRST SHOW!!! Man. Incredible.
Another great thing was that no one song was everyone's favourite. I think 'Annabelle' was a top choice (it's the band's favourite), but people even really really liked 'Withering', which we had thought was our weakest. When that's the case??...sky's the limit, killa.
PLUS Cotter came up for the show, which was way tight. and THEN -- who all should show up but Carrieface, Brandon Henley!, Forrest GLADSTONE!! and...........PHILLLLLL!!!!!!!!! Man. What great friends. The afterparty was awesome; everyone was at their best and praises/compliments/hugs(brotherly/friendly/flirtatious) were being exchanged at every turnaround. And then Colin Wright shows up out of nowhere (actually because his girlfriend is good friends with Gabe's) and we had a nice l'il "PH" reunion. It was the best night ever.
Love life's virtually nonexistent.
Money's very much nonexistent.
