And I kinda disappeared for a bit after that last post...but I have a question for those of you on my f-list ^^ if of course, anybody is interested/ is reading this anyways considering how much of a ghost i can be when it comes to lj
This has a little bit to do with the fandom, i guess, or more precisely, the people in the fandom.
It's been said for a long time now, that girls are worse than guys when it comes to fights, because apparently guys just beat each other up with their fists and girls are always so manipulative, play with emotions, and go behind people's backs and I know not all girls are like that I hope I'm not but there are girls who do things like that - if you're in a North American high school, you see it in the cliques and stuff (and i'm not sure about elsewhere, but i'm sure it's there too)
And sometimes, it even appears on lj. In the past few weeks, I've had conversations where people told me what 'this and this lj friend did, and how much she and her are drifting apart, or how much of a bitch this person is' (and really, I am guilty of ranting about people who annoy me to my own friends)
But...my question is...
Which is worse? The real life drama that occurs between girls - having someone in real life turn someone against you? Or the drama that happens over the internet on sites like lj where friends don't always know each other in real life - having someone in what could be considered a place to hide away from real life from, turn someone against you? Can it even be compared? On one hand, you're stuck with what happening in RL, it's your life after all. On the other, internet can be a great escape from the troubles in RL - and to have that escape tainted by something like betrayal?
And now you can stop listening to me try to be philosophic ^^ this has just been a question on my mind ever since i noticed the similarites between the 'high school clique-like dramas' that appear in both every day life and lj, even though idealistically, lj shouldn't even have such things...
people,
