You are NOT taking that mix along with you to Las Cruces. No, no, no.
But here's some songs for it anyway. I'm not putting in the two obvious ones. These may not all actually be about car crashes, but are about cars, the aftermath of accidents/car crashes, or events that may lead up to them. Or maybe they only have one line about cars... It's a start, right? 7th Standard - Ghost In My Car The A.K.A.s - Spectacle City [and the Always On video features a road jam. That they created.] Bold obviously means best fit/what I would pick. AFI - Last Kiss At The Drive-In - One Armed Scissor Between The Trees - White Lies And Red Lights Black Flag - Drinking And Driving Black Stone Cherry - Drive [Sorry. Had to.] Blink 182 - Rollercoaster Blood Brothers - Ambulance vs Ambulance/ I Know Where The Canaries And Crows Go/ Love Rhymes With Hideous Car Wreck Boys Night Out - (Just Once) Let's Do Something Different; I Got Punched In The Nose For Sticking My Face In Other Peoples' Business Brandtson - Margot Circa Survive - Stop the Fuckin' Car The Clash - The Right Profile [double points because the song also talks about NYC] Classic Crime - Headlights Cursive - Excerpts From Various Notes... Daphne Loves Derby - Midnight Highway Desaparecidos - Survival Of The Fittest Divit - William Down To Earth Approach - When You're Around Drive By - Accidents Escape The Fate - Not Enough Truth In The Cliche [...I'm definitely NOT supporting this band but it came up when I just did a search] The Faint - Cars Pass In Cold Blood Fall Out Boy - XO; Of All The Gin Joints In The World Fifth Hour Hero - Crashed Cars Finch - Stay With Me Gratitude - Drive Away Hot Water Music - Paper Thin Jawbreaker - Accident Prone Juliana Theory - Leave Like A Ghost (Drive Away) The Kidcrash - Until The Light Kills The Film Matchbook Romance - Playing For Keeps The Matches - The Restless; Salty Eyes Offspring - Bad Habit; DUI Over It - Siren On The 101; Worry Bomb A Static Lullaby - Hang Em High Sullivan - Cars At Break-Neck Speeds Therefore I Am - I Get Nervous In Cars Thrice - The Artist In The Ambulance Tsunami Bomb - Headlights On a Hand Grenade Weakerthans - Reconstruction Site
Alkaline Trio's Fatally Yours came up when I did a search, but I don't have it. Maybe you do? Charlie Sheen vs Henry Rollins by alexisonfire came up too, and I don't have it. I think I need to fix that based on the title alone, though. I'm expecting you already have LoveHateHero's Theatre of Robots on your mix.
And then Brand New - The Quiet Things No One Ever Knows [the video was about a car crash, right? Finch's video for What It Is To Burn makes me think of car crashes too, but I don't know if there even WAS a car crash, much less a car in it.]
Also, I think having something by Crash Kills Four is mandatory.
The venue I was at tonight had a huge sign off to the side, behind the stage, that said, "THIS IS NOT AN EXIT" [it probably was actually a door] and I passed a theatre named Sunshine on the way there. I'm homesick and there's all these small things I miss. Things that shouldn't matter but kinda do. Like how I can never use a +1 I'm given for shows for work, or how Harry Potter is coming out tomorrow but no one I'd actually want to go see it with can go with me. And I hate how I'm going to Warped this summer... but you won't be there and it won't be the same AT ALL.
