No updates if forever.
Hi guys,
Sorry I haven't been keeping up on this lately... Since my birthday.
Life and how it goes:
I got a promotion at work about a month-month and a half ago. I'm now the IT Support Specialist for BargainBookStores.com. I even have business cards now. The last time I had a business card was working for PCRx when I did web work. I really enjoy the new work although it does get frustrating at times. I seem to stay at work longer than I used to to try to get stuff done. I have an office that I'm currently sharing with nobody (I have 1 of two desks in the office). I'm learning a lot and it's definitely challenging. :-)
The only thing I'm sad about is that I couldn't get the 1st of July off from work since so many people are already taking time in that area off (including the software developer that would do my work if I was gone and who I cover when he's gone.) So no day of anniversary fun for me. Oh well. :-(
Other than the lack of time off for that day, things with Shannon and I are great. Everything is still like it was before we were married. I love her tons. She's currently working retail (she hates retail but likes the store she's working for). I like the fact that she can get away with only working a little bit if she wants to. She can have time to work on her artwork or to do stuff for the house.
I'm running 2 D&D games: one 3.5 and one 4E. I really enjoy running the games, but I really want to play in a 4E game. I don't think I'm going to get the chance to any time soon.
The Saturday hang out night has started to die down a bit. We use to have lots of people over and now its cut down to 1-3 people, and sometimes nobody at all. I miss the Hill and all the fun we all had there. I miss everyone who lives there now, and the friends that have moved away (Sarah, Brian, Brandon, T). I miss some of the old LARP crowd. I don't know how healthy that game was for me, but I certainly miss a lot of people from the old days.
Well, hopefully I'll bump into people soon. I know I've been busy, and a hermit, but I hope that sometime soon I can try to change that.
OH BTW, Video Games Live is coming to Kzoo next year. I'm looking to get tickets for it and want to get a group to go. Let me know if you are interested.
