A Burden Worth Carrying

A woman concieves a child
A burden not only to the whom
Her whole life seems to change
As the flower inside her blooms.
No one to walk beside her
Through this trial in life.
She was left alone
Left alone to hide.
Who could help this young girl?
She dare not let out the news
Rejection and shame weren't coming again
This she knew was too big for the pews.
A mistake that would haunt her
The rest of her life.
The mistake that told her
She should end it all that night.
Wanting not to listen,
Closing her ears in fear
She pleaded to the end of her strength
Jesus... please come dry my tears.
And there He stood tall...
Not angered in the least bit.
"My daughter I know your sorry
And now's your chance to learn from this.
Stand strong, I know you can
I made you the way you are for a reason.
Believe in yourself and have faith in me
I judge! Its not their place to give treason."
The woman felt peace
And did her best to carry on.
She gave birth to a baby...
And he's best friends with God's son.
