[ CHAPTER 2 - Shopping ]
“Gochisousama~”
“Finally! Let’s go~!”
“Oi, Yui-chan! We need to clean up our mess first!”
“Ah~ Gomen~ I forgot.” After cleaning up, they talked to Harada Kenji, one of their classmates who also gave Akina a letter this morning.
“Kenji-kun,” Kenji looked at her and gave a nervous smile.
“A-Ah! Akina-chan. What d-do you want?”
“Can you come with me please?” Akina said as she signalled Yui on what to do. Every time Akina tells someone to come with her, Yui is always by her side---hiding. Just to make sure that nothing will happen to her bestfriend.
“Yeah, s-sure!” So, Akina led Kenji to the rooftop and looked at him with a serious face, making him more nervous.
“What’s wrong?” Kenji asked with a worried tone.
“Anou sa… I’m sorry, but I can’t accept your feelings for now. I’m not yet ready for a commitment. I’m very sorry. Thank you for confessing. Anyways, we can hang out sometime but not as couples. Only friends.” She said straight-forwardly. While hiding, Yui was copying her statement and giggled along the way.
“I-is that so? Well, at least I tried, right?” Kenji said as he scratched his head and smiled at her. Akina, as usual, gave him a kiss on his cheeks. Akina left and said goodbye. Kenji looked at her as she got down and out of disbelief, his cheeks turned pink and slapped himself to make sure it wasn’t a dream. Kenji decided to return to their classroom. A few minutes later, he finally returned to their classroom, speechless.
“That was...a little disappointing…” Yui said as she followed Akina around while finding those who confessed to her.
“Why is that?”
“Kenji-kun is smart and charming, you know. H-He’s really kind, too. Like you!” Akina stopped and looked at Yui.
“Yui-chan. You like him, don’t you? Ooooh~ Look what we have here~ Why didn’t you tell me?” she said with eyes sparkling from excitement.
“You’re wrong! I only admire him `coz he’s smart and kind…that’s all!” Yui said as she tried to convince Akina that she was telling the truth. Since Akina doesn’t want her bestfriend to hate her again, she just went with the flow.
“Okay~ I believe you. Ah! We have to hurry! We only have less than 30 minutes left!”
“A-ah! Right!” The two hurried. Akina rejected Sawamura Shosuke and Shibazaki Takahiro, both 3rd years. Murakami Ichiro, a 2nd year. 4 guys all in all, including Kenji. Akina and Yui hurried to their class and a few moments later, the bell rang. Before going shopping, the two finished their “mission” after school. In one day, Akina rejected a total of 7 guys. Akina thanked Yui and went shopping with her. Since Akina’s parents thought that it would be better if Akina don’t bring a lot of money, they decided to give her a credit card. For her credit card, her parents told her that she can shop all she want since they said that it’s a so-called, “Sky is the limit.” credit card.
