[Background] Not much is known about Marluxia before he became a Nobody- as both his real name and where he was a resident of still remains a mystery.
Even in the very beginning part of his life, very little information is revealed. All that is told is he was the eleventh Nobody to be found (by Xigbar and Xaldin) and added to the organization. A possible note to add is that, between the time he was added and the time that Roxas joined, he proved himself to be a worthy member in the Organization to, much later, be called the Lord of Castle Oblivion. Although, one could also argue that he was sent off because he was suspected of treasonous thoughts.
A bit more is learned about Marluxia once Roxas arrives into the Organization and starts doing missions. Already during this time, both he and Larxene are planning on overthrowing the Organization (as is apparent in a few comment directed towards Roxas). It is also known that, while helping Roxas in his missions (telling Roxas the difference between the heartless and which ones to kill, how to collect hearts, and a bit about Kingdom Hearts) and seeing the power of the keyblade firsthand, Marluxia wanted to harness that power and use it against Xemnas. This ultimately proved to help develop his actions while in Castle Oblivion- to which he was appointed the lord of quite a few days after Roxas’ arrival.
At Castle Oblivion, under Xemnas’ orders, he lures Sora towards the Organization’s second base. With the captured Nobody, Namine, under his control, Marluxia forces her to manipulate Sora’s memories into thinking that she was precious to him.
Under his orders, Larxene, Axel, and Vexen all feed specific information to Sora to lure him even deeper into the castle, and using the Riku Replica as a rival to make the situation seem even more real. However, at some point, both he and Larxene realize that Vexen had been reporting to Zexion about what had been going on. Not much later, the Riku Replica is no longer under Vexen’s control, to which Marluxia uses to his advantage. Threatening to ‘tell the Superior of his failure,’ he orders Vexen to eliminate Sora (perhaps fully knowing that Vexen was unable to defeat the keyblader). Not much later after Vexen’s battle with Sora, Axel appears and kills Vexen- under Marluxia’s orders. Because of the success of Axel’s assassination, he gains the trust of both Marluxia and Larxene- a very fatal mistake on their behalf.
This newfound trust allows Axel to be left alone with Namine, allowing the girl to escape from Marluxia’s grasp and manipulating Sora into fighting the Organization. After this, Larxene attacks Sora, but is killed- leaving Marluxia as the only one left to carry out the plot.
Confronting Axel about his betray, he is shortly accused of being a traitor to the Organization himself, and that Larxene’s death was an acceptable price she paid for it- shortly afterwards which Axel then claims that he will kill Marluxia, who is unfazed by this. Both engage in a battle against each other, where they appear evenly matched. Namine then appears before Marluxia, and attempts to use her as a shield against Axel (who laughs it off and says that he would go through Namine to get to him). Sora happened to enter the room at that time, which Marluxia explains that Axel was willing to hurt Namine and vanishes, leaving Sora and Axel alone to fight amongst each other.
Once Sora had defeated Axel, Sora pursued Marluxia to his inner chambers, upon when Marluxia ordered Namine to completely erase Sora’s memories in order to rebuild the keyblader more to his liking. However, Namine flat out refused his orders, even after he threatened to kill her. Confusion and irritation are soon apparent as Sora urges Namine to do as Marluxia says to save herself, and the Riku Replica attacks to save her (as he can’t understand why they would so willingly accept memories that they know are false). He soon attacks them, and is defeated. However, his true self was hidden further in the castle. The end was no different, however, as Sora managed to kill him in his other, more powerful, form.
[Personality] Like all of the members in Organization XIII, Marluxia doesn’t have a heart, and therefore doesn’t have any “feelings” (and quite frankly, he doesn’t even want them in the first place). Because he is so emotionless, he holds no guilt in manipulating people and using them for his own gain. Whatever he wants, he will find a way to achieve this goal- even to the point of risking his life.
However, Marluxia is very cunning, knowing when and how to act in certain scenarios. In one case, around those more powerful than him, he could act like a suck up- but only to cover up a plot to overthrow them- while another example, when he is around those weaker than him, he can be brutally sadistic and controlling. This is because of his prideful nature, where he simply must have respect and not be looked down upon. All actions are done in such an eloquent way, that he really does live up to his title: the “Graceful Assassin.”
In most situations, he is rather calm- however, he gets bored quite easily and is always looking for something to do and entertain him (more than often, he will go around to teasing people and being sarcastic- a trait he somewhat picked up from Larxene).
[Specialties/Abilities] As most Nobodies can, Marluxia is able to use the powers of darkness (such as creating the Corridors of Darkness to transport from place to place). Also, he can summon lesser Nobodies and heartless.
As far as powers go, he is able to manipulate and create plants (a few instances being his ability to summon a giant Venus flytrap and thorny vines, as well as the blossom petals that almost constantly surround him). In addition to this, he also wields a scythe that resembles a flower (named Graceful Dahlia). With it, he is able to attack normally, create energy waves to slash at enemies at a distance, or create a shockwave by hitting his scythe against the ground.
[Affection] Openly accepts all forms of affections (admirers, worshippers... maybe stalkers), but doesn't return any back.
[Fighting] Other characters can fight and injure Marluxia, but not kill. Depending on the situation, he might start a fight, but generally he tries to talk and manipulate his way out of it (even going so far as using someone as a shield).

[Other Facts] By being around plants so much, Marluxia is not only good at gardening, but he is also a capable herbalist and cook.
