I have a meeting in 8 minutes, so I must run, but I wanted to say I LOVE IT, and I'll be back later to read a second time and share my thoughts. For now, though, let me just say that THIS:

I had twelve emails from Brian. All blank. I sent twelve blank replies. Really, I liked this better than if it had been a dozen fucking roses.

...is BEAUTIFUL, I swear I could have fainted when I read that. =)

More soon!

It's interesting, my beta identified that as the one thing in the story most sweee-worthy.

I like it very much myself. Obviously.

I have to confess the blank email thing when it burst out of the little section of my brain inhabited by Justin, felt like... magic.

I wonder if it is the 'ridiculously romantic' part of my brain that this story awakens, but in any event, the way I read the last part of your comment was as though you were saying it the way Meg Ryan says 'magic' in 'Sleepless in Seattle' - "felt like...mmmmagic."

Hahahha!

I did see Sleepless in Seattle, but I don't actually remember that?

I adore your icon.

It is what Tom Hanks says on the phone about meeting his (dead) wife of when they met (and then Meg Ryan repeats throughout the movie) - "It was like...m-m-magic."

BUT ANYWAY. =)

Okay, more love now that I'm not rushing to a meeting.

OK, I thought, I’m getting it now; this is the world’s longest running crush. I was starting to think we were in Princess Bride territory. You know. True love.

This is fantastic. I love how you are able to slip in these references that are so damn perfect, but they aren't there to make an obvious statement too loudly, if that makes any sense.

“You weren’t around for year one or you’d never say that.”

I love when writers can - perhaps not purposefully - tread in that gray area of reference. When I first read this line I loved it because it was kind of a vague reference to "Ben" not being part of 'season' one. So it combines the story-telling with the actuality of the show so nicely. You might not have meant to do that, but I love it.

“Please, harder, c’mon, feel like Thai?” Now we are ( ... )

Just to clarify, I meant to say that you do Melanie justice. Not that you don't do Lindsay justice. Okay, perhaps you do them BOTH justice. But my point was you do the Melanie that I love justice. =)

I think it is time for me to go to bed. I'm no longer making sense.

=)

Two things:

You should give classes in how to give feedback, and CAN I STEAL YOUR ICON??????????

1. Thank you! In fact, I am going to research Ph.D programs in 'fanfic feedback' right now. =)

2. OF COURSE you can steal the icon!! I got it from _alt_icons, so it is completely shareable. Steal away! Isn't it lovely? =)
