I've been combing through my external hard drive and exploring what I've saved in it over the years and I came across some lovely old stuff! owo
Jackie Chan's duet song with Kim Hee Son "Endless Love" from the movie "The Myth"
(It's sung in Mandarin and Korean although I actually watched the movie in Cantonese with my brother =v=)

It's meant to be the love song for their characters although it's actually just a pretty tragic song all together. ;A; JC was a high general for the Chinese Emperor and he was in charge of bringing KHS, a Korean princess who was arranged to become one of the Emperor's many wives, to China but her caravan was attacked, killing everyone in the caravan. But JC was able to save KHS so they began their travel to China but fall in love during their journey. But knowing of their duties (JC is a general and KHS's basically an offering to the Emperor in order for Korea to keep China's favor), they keep quiet but a whole ton of unhappy stuff goes down and it's basically a tragedy from the start.
Raymond Lam's "愛不疚 (Love With No Regrets)"
(It's Cantonese! Huzzah! I can actually understand this one... to an extent! -- 2008)

The MV's actually pretty sad feels one but it's more of unrequited love sad haha. In this, he's singing about letting go of his love for this girl he loves because he simply loves her too much to lose their friendship because he knows she sees him nothing more than a friend. It was the ending song from a Canto TV series that he acted in called "Moonlight Resonance". =w=
张靓颖 (Jane Zhang)'s "天下無雙 (Unrivaled)"
(Lovely, lovely, lovely in how breathy she sings it-- it's in Mandarin!)

This one's from a Canto wuxia TV series called "The Return of the Condor Heroes" which is based off a pretty famous wuxia novel from the late 50s and it even has a cartoon series! (I used to watch bits of the cartoon when I was little but the voices would often put me off when I was younger--) The song's goes on about how the love between the characters is "unparalleled/unrivaled" and unforgettable with the addition of a lot of lovely poetry/sweetness mixed in.
Also Raymond Lam is in this too. (Fact: Nearly all Canto actors are also singers because why not?)
Linda Chung's "最幸福的事 (The Story Happily Ever After)"
(Tbh my favorite Canto actress-- she's a really sweet person irl too)

This song's also from a Canto TV drama and it was the theme song that reappeared a lot in a softer piano ver. in the drama. But the drama itself was pretty... meh. Like I was honestly really excited for it when it first came out but then as I kept watching, with my mom helping me understand the bits I couldn't get, it kinda got worse and worse. It's not that the actors/actresses were terrible at doing their part but the plot line was just horrid. But at least I got a nice song out of it. =A=;;

THIS IS JUST PURE NOSTALGIA THROUGH AND THROUGH. ;w; I watched this drama with my mom and my grandma (when she was still around) when it first came out because my grandma would record it on VCR at my uncle's house and then bring it over to watch in the mornings after she stayed the night. (Also yes, this is also from another Canto TV drama called "Perish in the Name of Love"-- it was the OP theme) It's loosely based from an old Chinese opera but god I loved it to bits and pieces. A couple years later after I first watched it (I was like 6 in 2003 and I rewatched it when I was 11), I couldn't remember clearly what happened to so I took all the VCR recordings that my grandma gave me and rewatched all 32 episodes on my own to remember what happened. ;w;
