I left my city for LA early Friday morning and just arrived home two evenings ago at close to midnight and I didn't make it to bed until close to 2AM. But then yesterday, I had to get up at 6:30AM for school and... yeah, it was a very tiring day since I had two quizzes mixed in as well. Today was my first lazy day in a long, long while.
But going back to my trip...
It was my first trip that I've ever go on flights by myself but since my family went over to LA early, I had to go on my own obviously. One flight to Las Vegas then another to LA-- all of which turned out to be a very peaceful, easy trip alone. I landed and met my family by 11:30AM after getting up for my first flight at 6AM. =v=;; [On another note, California is honestly so dry compared to Texas because of the drought it's going through. My skin was so ashy by the time I arrived home, especially around my hands and feet.]
The first day (Fri -- I arrived in LA at 11:30AM that morning) was spent at Universal World Citywalk with some relatives that I met (one was my mom's 4th uncle's youngest daughter-- who was the first of many complicatedly-related relatives I ended up meeting that weekend) while Sat was spent almost entirely at my mom's 7th uncle's only son's wedding (traditional ceremonies in the morning to modern ceremonies in the evening).
Then on Sunday, we had a brief brunch with one of our relatives and explore LA's old Chinatown for a bit before going on a 5 hour road trip to San Jose. My cousin, who lives in San Francisco, found out that we were coming and traveled an hour over to San Jose to take my brother and I out for the evening for food (Legit samgyeopsal! Honey toast! Tapioca Milk Tea!-- I took a few photos on my Instagram but I might attach some photos here later when I get around to uploading my travel photos on my computer) and then showed us how pretty the lit-up San Francisco Bay Bridge looks like at night.
The next day, Monday, my family had brunch with my cousin's family before my brother and I headed out to San Francisco's Chinatown and Japantown, where we splurged and finally got to buy stuff/gifts (I got my hands on a THSK Live Tour DVD-- TIME Live Tour -Final at Nissan Stadium- 2013! ;w;), and then we met up with all of my San Francisco relatives for dinner.
Then finally, on Tuesday, we were heading back home. My flight was earlier so I left San Francisco first and ended up landing in my hometown 3 hours earlier than the rest of my family did. But there was an rainstorm when I arrived that only got worse by the time my family got to the airport, causing their airplane to be unable to gate on time since all the other airplanes got delayed. They were finally able to get off after 2 hours on the plane but then spent another hour trying to find all their luggage since the airport got all messy with the cargo. So all together, I'd spent 6 hours in the airport and I'm pretty sure the janitors were like "Why is this girl still here..." from the stares I was getting after the 3rd hour. ;^;
But yeah, that was my trip in its entirety and I'm so glad to have my wifi and free time back, seriously. And then my summer classes end next week and I'm free for my summer! Free!
