International Day of the Blind
Octobre 15th marked the international day of the blind. I watched the Beijing Youth's Daily that day and came across a touching photo. Although the girl in the picture can not see the world around her she seemed very opptimistic.I was impressed by her laughter and the attitude she possessed towards life.
On the same day, Beijing held an annual Beijing international Marathon. Because the running route passes my neibourhood i could watch the event on spot.Getting up later than expected, i missed watching those professional competitors running. Still, there were many amateurs taking a part. When i came to the street,both sides of it were crowded by audience.As usual, runners include people from different ages.What took me by surprise was that i saw a blind man among them.He was running by the guide of a strip that was fastened between his arm and his helper's. The impressions on his face was calm and enjoyable.Like any other runners,he just does what he loves.To me, he acted as a hero. Sometimes i think human beings are very fragile.It is hard to sustain the blows life gives to you.However,on the other hand, human beings are also the strongest creature on the planet because they could overcome any imaginable difficulty and face the truth bravely.
