Funny that I should use a quote that 1. I have never seen the movie from and 2. That it has nothing to do with this post.
But whatever.
Guess who this was inspired by....?
Quick 20 minute sketch using horrible smelling Chinese calligraphy ink that was at least 7 years old, acrylic, and gauche. Did I mention the the god awful ink? This was really done to test out the idea of gessoing a sketchbook and then using it as a mini paint book. I was hoping for a darker look to it, buut I could only saturate the paper so much. And at that point it was 5 in the morning and I didn't feel like waiting for it to dry.
I just like the little figures I drew. Quick shitty coloring in Photoshop. Bonus points if you can guess who Purple-Man is (am I might add, his current series was definatly disappointing....)
How do people manage to draw all the time? Maybe I'm just not cut out to be an artist. Inspiration comes and goes with me. How do you guys manage it? Or is it just the old addum: .....uh wait, I got nothing. Just that old saying of "keep going at it" or something?
Whatever the case is........well I don't really have a conclusion.
But I do know that I have two projects going on in which I have no real artistic direction *dies a little on the inside.
