Free Comic Book Day
Tomorrow is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!! Yes! And I'm so excited! On the first Saturday of May every year, every comic book store has a special little event where they give away free comics, previews, action figures -- and at our place, everything in the store is 25% or more off! Everything! Gods, I love Free Comic Book Day. I have no idea what I'm going to get, but I hope it's a bunch of lovely stuff. I'm sure I'll be grabbing comics left and right, and probably a few trades, since I can get them at a discount. :D
Actually, this month is a great month for comics in general. DC is bringing out such awesome comics! In The Batman Strikes!, we finally get to have a Batgirl centric comic again! And I'm such a Babs fan. That girl/woman is my idol. The Batman Confidential is also going to be Batgirl centric. See here, if you're interested. And, in Robin, we'll finally get to see who Spoiler is, and whether it's really Stephanie or not. Fingers crossed, although Tim definitely doesn't need another girlfriend, seeing as how he's got, like, three at the moment. Well, technically. XD And then, the one comics I'm most excited about for sure: Teen Titans: Year One, because it's going to have Roy/Donna goodness!! *Spasms and dies* I love those two as a couple. Fingers crossed we see fluffy cuteness -- maybe even a kiss! <3
Oh, also: Not that it matters, but this Wednesday, the 7th, is my birthday. I can't wait to spend some time with my family for my birthday! This month is so exciting. X3
