Lovely Vacation
My half-sister, her husband, and her two kids -- my nephew and niece -- all arrived last Thursday, and have been staying the weekend with us...I've had so much fun since they came over, especially with my nephew...He's about seven years old, and has the usual energy that comes with being that age...He's been playing my Teen Titans video game with me, as well as watching episodes on DVD, so I feel like we've had good bonding time together...We enjoy talking about Batman, Teen Titans, and DC Comics based cartoon shows in general...We're both just a couple of kids... :)
He and I also went hiking up to a Cathedral high up on a mountain with the rest of our family...Except that it ended up being pretty much just the two of us, because he and I were the adventurous ones out of the lot, and therefore left everyone else behind to race up ahead...We ended up climbing up the rock structures, only to find out that we weren't supposed to; yes, we ended up coming down to the ground again, and I saw a sign at the last minute that said 'DO NOT CLIMB THE ROCKS'... XD Well, what the authorities don't know won't hurt us... >3
Last night we all went out to a great restaurant to eat, too...We went to the Mesquite Tree; the food there is teriffic, and so is the atmosphere...We had a great time talking about just about everything that was hilarious...My eldest brother especially was acting so funny, and so was my dad... XD Then, when we got back home, my nephew and niece wanted to go swimming...Only my nephew and his dad were the bravest to jump into the water though, because of how freezing it was...That is, until somebody offered me $10 to jump into the pool with my clothes on...I did... :3 Which, I might add, I'm actually geting $20 for...Easy money...It was so worth it... :)
All in all, I've had a great weekend...It's been lovely... :D
