Taemin always thought he’d like to fly. But he never really thought his first time flying would be in the claws of a pterodactyl that picked him up on his way to school.
Sure, there was a certain cool factor to it because, really, how many people got to fly with supposedly extinct creatures. But he was pretty sure it was a bad thing. Like, what if it was going to eat him? Taemin didn’t think he’d make for very good food.
But it turned out the pterodactyl didn’t really want to eat him, which was good. It just flew Taemin to its nest at the top of a really, really high cliff. And preened his hair for a while. Painfully. And then flew off for a while and came back and threw up some mush that Taemin was pretty sure he was supposed to eat.
He had to admit, it was sort of endearing, but also really annoying. He wasn’t a bird. Or dinosaur. Or whatever. But it looked so pleased as it settled next to him, covering him with one leathery wing that Taemin didn’t feel up to attempting an escape.
It wasn’t that he enjoyed it, really.
